Plandampf Polska October 6th – 10th
The Wolsztyn Experience is organising a steam Plandampf in October replacing steam on some freight services, some Leszno passenger services and a Leszno – Ostrow service. The last Wolsztyn to Wroclaw high speed service will also operate on Saturday 10th.

David Sprackland, who looks after the UK end of German plandampfs, is taking bookings for the event, which is now confirmed as definite.
Profits from this Plandampf will be used by the Wolsztyn Experience to support the Wolsztyn historic fleet which are not required for scheduled Wolsztyn to Poznan services and are unlikely to have further overhauls in the foreseeable future. The regular services are handled by Ol49 class locos, the Pm36 pacific and Pt47 class.
During the event the normal 2 trains a day service will operate from Wolsztyn – Poznan as well as the Plandampfs additional trains.

Standard Gauge News June 1st
The bridge at Wiry is to be replaced during the week commencing June 28th; services will be by railcar and bus. This means that the overweight Pt47 will again be able to haul the Poznan services.
As well as the three single deck coaches in traditional Polish green Wolsztyn now has 2 double deckers for the Poznan services. The first freightliner Class 66 visited Wolsztyn on May 26th.
